Danfoss Waltech Tube Fittings

Waltech Metric Tube Fittings

Waltech fittings accommodate tubing from 6 mm up to 42 mm outer diameter, support pressures up to 800 bar, and are built to the DIN EN ISO 8434-1 standard for 24° fittings.

Key Features & Benefits

1. Leak-Free, Durable Construction

  • Waltech’s design focuses on engineered sealing integrity:
  • Their Walpro® cutting-ring system uses a two-edge ring with enhanced dynamic load resistance.
  • The WalringPlus® adds soft-seal capability for thin-walled tubes and additional leak path protection.
  • The Walform® system goes further with a cold-reshaped tube end, secondary metallic sealing, and positive lock for high-vibration or safety-critical applications.
Guardian Seal® plating ensures excellent corrosion resistance (in excess of 1,000 hours red-rust test) without compromising assembly strength.

2. High Pressure & Load Capability

With nominal operating pressures up to 800 bar and a safety factor of 4:1, these fittings are designed for the rigorous demands of mobile hydraulics, heavy-duty manufacturing, alternative energy, transportation, offshore & marine, and similar environments.

3. Flexible Assembly Option

Whether you prefer manual assembly or machine-assisted final assembly, the Waltech systems support both. The design includes clear assembly stops and reduced risk of overtightening or mis-installation.

4. Broad Configuration Range

You’ll find straight, elbow, tee, cross, male-stud, swivel, adjustable union, DIN conversion, and many special-fittings configurations – all in metric sizing and both carbon steel and stainless (1.4571) materials.

Typical Applications

Mobile Hydraulic Equipment

Construction, agriculture and material handling. (excavators, backhoe loaders, bulldozers, tractors, etc.)

Industrial Hydraulic Systems

For the systems that require metric tubes some examples would be: injection molding machines, presses, and forming machines, etc.

Fluid Systems in Alternative Energy

For transportation and offshore settings like: Wind turbines, hydropower, rail braking systems, ship steering gear, etc.

Technical & Ordering Considerations

  • Confirm tube outer diameter (e.g., 12 mm, 25 mm, 42 mm) and tube wall thickness/material. Waltech supports both carbon steel and stainless steel 1.4571.
  • Identify thread type (metric, BSPT, BSPP or conversion) and whether you need male stud, straight, elbow, union or adjustable union. Example part: WAL373217 – male stud M22×1.5 to R½, 15 mm tube OD.
  • Choose assembly series:
    • Walpro: cost-efficient, manual assembly, cutting ring.
    • WalringPlus: soft-seal version, optimized for thin-wall tubes.
    • Walform: highest performance, cold-reshaped tube end, ideal for safety-critical applications.
  • Ensure compatibility with DIN EN ISO 8434-1 standard for 24° tube fittings.
  • Consider corrosion environment: choose Guardian Seal plating and stainless steel when corrosion resistance is critical.
  • Special-fitting options: Danfoss offers custom lengths, throttle bores, special materials and small batch production.

Why Choose Custom Hydraulics & Design
