Too many hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems have wasted horsepower due to the abundance of flaws made in the design process, more machines and systems cause a great deal of stress on the operators because some machines and systems move straight from prototype to production because it simply worked. These inherent inefficiencies have a real hidden cost that can affect the bottom line year after year. Examples of these costs include increased fuel / energy consumption, larger prime movers, heat, and component seizing.
To help our clients mitigate the unforeseen hidden costs associated with trouble spots in the hydraulic machine or system by implementing a procedure of investigating the actual system / circuit requirements by using test equipment to document the actual energy usage i.e. Pressure, Flow and Temperature all combined. From the results we can work to uncover potential savings and how to reach those savings.
We currently evaluate systems efficiency by testing for the following variables.
Temperature Often times we find that the hydraulic system we are evaluation is running at a much higher temperature than what the system is rated for, creating a less efficient system.
Pressure Custom Hydraulics and design is able to test the pressure of your hydraulic system to prevent degradation of components within the system.
Horsepower Often times a system is underperforming because the system cannot receive the required horsepower needed for efficient operation.
RPM Similarly to horsepower, often times we find that hydraulic systems are not generating enough RPM to create the required horsepower required for a hydraulic system.
